There are two parts to the whole programme: data monitoring and behavioural change modules.
At the start we configure your energy meters to link with GAIA, allowing you and us to analyse your energy consumption and monitor your success live via the internet. This facility is installed for a minimum of 12 months.
The Assess module of the programme provides:
- Training on how to interpret your monitored energy data.
- A lively session on your profile and initial key areas on which to focus for savings.
- Assessment of staff sensitivity to the issues and opportunities.
- Identification and analysis of any barriers to energy saving.
- Establishment of an initial energy saving action plan and an in-house Energy Efficiency Team.
The Launch element is the start of the energy saving programme. Here the plan is put into practice.
GAIA's training session helps and supports you to:
- Create a compelling message company-wide.
- Define and communicate targets.
- Identify and use 'connectors'.
- Set key tasks for each member of the Energy Efficiency Team.
- Review energy consumption using the latest data.
- Improve staff engagement across the whole business.
Recycle
The Recycle stage concerns sustaining the gains made and then considering the next options. Many legislative areas want year on year reductions, and so you have to find new ways each year to keep saving.
The third session in the programme delivers training in:
- Embedding best practice in the organisation.
- Giving feedback to staff in order to maintain support.
- Using the GAIA system to alert you to any wastage.
- The next initiatives to consider.
- Where to prioritise and set goals.
- How to sustain energy saving and cement the new culture.
